I especially like the red/blue/green and white/blue/green as a piece of "Art". However, in terms of usability, I don't find single words very handy. The "weighted" blogroll is also very nice. But as you said, it will only be functional when it is clickable. And readable. No problem with 30 favorites, but with the lot you have... ;) At least I'm happy that you also placed an alphabetical list of (potentially) useful life science and health/medical blogs so I could easily pick up mine from the list and was alerted to it by Google.
