I guess I have to read up on Riviere’s achievements — I’m pretty unknowledgeable about the history of museology. As far as I’m concerned it all started in 2002 :-)

I like the concept; it reminds me of the “ecomusee” notion of Georges Henri Riviere. This should be workable, but within a university setting it calls for a sympathetic disposition of department heads. We have proposed such a university-wide service to be provided by the Dittrick, but met with lukewarm response. Oh, yes it’s grand, in principle, so long as I don’t have to commit money or space…
